Dr. Simon is the medical director of our program and major contributor to the world of behavioral health and psychiatric care. He completed his General Psychiatry Residency at LSU/Ochsner in post-Katrina New Orleans, where he was one of the few psychiatrists to stay in the city at a time when psychiatry services were needed most. In addition, he completed a Fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Mt. Sinai Medical Center and UMDNJ, as well as a Fellowship in Addiction Medicine & Psychiatry at Dartmouth Medical Center.
Dr. Simon has served as the Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer at several inpatient and outpatient treatment centers and is currently pioneering an accelerated detox program in Cherry Hill, NJ.

Theresa focuses on a 12-step and spiritual approach with others due to first-hand experience with the disease concept of addiction. Her various experiences include sober home management, case management, intake coordinator position, assessments, and primary therapy. She utilizes solution-focused therapy techniques in addition to encouraging and empowering others to change their lives. She believes in an “open door policy” for everyone seeking help, and is challenged by the uniqueness of every client’s individual situation.
Theresa has been working in the field of addiction and recovery for the past decade. Her approach to recovery can be described as passionate and realistic. Theresa graduated with a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Midway University and is a certified drug and alcohol counselor in the state of Pennsylvania.


Kaden Moriarty is a trauma-informed therapist and a licensed social worker who specializes in post-traumatic stress disorder, sex and sexuality, gender and gender identity, substance use disorder treatment and recovery. Kaden received their B.A from Temple University in Gender & Sexuality Studies with a minor in LGBT Studies in 2010 and received their Master of Social Worker Degree from Temple University in 2018. As an undergrad and graduate student, Kaden received numerous awards and scholarships for academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to social justice, feminism, and anti-oppressive practices. As a therapist, Kaden is specifically skilled in CBT, psychodynamic, humanistic, and relational modalities.
Kaden believes in approaching therapy from a strengths-based perspective, paying specific attention to the effects of macro, mezzo, and micro factors that contribute to mental health experiences and then joining with clients to develop a strong and meaningful therapeutic alliance which allows the healing process to truly begin.

Steve Gursky has connected with all age groups in many settings, including Jewish Community Centers, wraparound, prison and outpatient therapy, as well as with individuals, families and groups. He believes all people are unique, valuable and deserving of respect and dignity. Steve has Masters degree is in Social Work and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. One of his specialties is eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, or EMDR, a therapy which has proven to be very successful with single incident trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder. EMDR is currently being used for a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression and pain ailments such as fibromyalgia and migraine headaches.
As a specialist in individualized care, Steve is always exploring additional therapies while continuing to practice cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, and unmet developmental needs therapy. He understands each person has their own set of needs unique to one another and emphasizes focus on the individual.


Margate Therapists & Staff



David was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and raised in South New Jersey. Throughout his life, he has struggled with his own substance use disorder and dealt with familiar consequences such as dropping out of school, overdose, jail and numerous treatment stays. David attributes his recovery success to 12-step fellowship and a relationship with God.
David’s newfound purpose is aiding others. He began 4 years ago in Philadelphia as a case manager, helping the homeless seek treatment and basic human needs. David went on to complete his GED and now spends his time with his 12-year-old daughter, who is his heart and to whom his recovery process has meant the world too.
David helps us build relationships in the community and assists in developing further resources for our clients and their families in Philadelphia, PA and Margate, FL. He works closely with our clinical team to help show others resources, partnerships, different therapies and services we offer at our various locations.
