In addition to being licensed drug and alcohol program by the state of Pennsylvania DDAP office we are also a joint commission approved facility. Joint commission accreditation means we meet the highest standard of excellence in the industry.

Therapists & Staff Who Care
Dr. Simon completed his General Psychiatry Residency at LSU/Ochsner in post-Katrina New Orleans where he was one of the few psychiatrists to stay in the city at a time when psychiatric services were most needed. He completed a Fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Mt. Sinai Medical Center and UMDNJ, and then a Fellowship in Addiction Medicine & Psychiatry at Dartmouth Medical Center. He has served as the Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer at several inpatient and outpatient treatment centers and is currently pioneering an accelerated detox program in Cherry Hill, NJ.
Kaden Moriarty is a trauma-informed therapist and a licensed social worker who specializes in post-traumatic stress disorder, sex and sexuality, gender and gender identity, and addiction and recovery. Kaden received their B.A from Temple University in Gender & Sexuality Studies with a minor in LGBT Studies in 2010 and received their Master of Social Worker Degree from Temple University in 2018. As an undergrad and graduate student, Kaden received numerous awards and scholarships for academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to social justice, feminism, and anti-oppressive practices. As a therapist, Kaden is specifically skilled in CBT, psychodynamic, humanistic, and relational modalities. Kaden believes in approaching therapy from a strengths-based perspective, paying specific attention to the effects of macro, mezzo, and micro factors that contribute to mental health experiences and then joining with clients to develop a strong and meaningful therapeutic alliance which allows the healing process to truly begin.
Anna Spingler has been an advocate for those suffering from addiction since 2008. Her prior work experience with the Council of Southeast Pennsylvania and the PRO-ACT Recovery Community Organization fostered and incubated her passion for assisting those newly engaged, or re-engaging, in their personal recovery process. Anna has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and is currently completing her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Holy Family University. Anna believes in the importance of incorporating all parts of the human experience into her work: mind, body and spirit. Anna strives to connect clients with their whole selves through her genuine and authentic manner.
Steve Gursky believes all persons are unique, valuable and deserving of respect and dignity. He has worked with all age groups in many settings (including Jewish Community Centers, Wraparound, prison, outpatient therapy) with individuals, families and with groups. Steve’s Masters degree is in Social Work and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both PA and NJ. He is EMDR trained (a therapy which has proven to be very successful with single incident trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). EMDR is currently being used for a variety of concerns including Anxiety, Depression and pain ailments such as Fibromyalgia and Migraine Headaches. While Steve uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, and unmet developmental needs therapy, he is always exploring additional therapies. Each person Steve works with has their own unique set of needs and therapy that is unique to each person.
Amanda works as a case manager/care coordinator who ensures each client is engaging with necessary clinical services while helping clients transition smoothly throughout their care. Amanda is of the millennial generation, affecting change in the ever-evolving recovery industry. She is a creative and skilled professional who is passionate about helping others. Amanda focuses on educating others about recovery, so they can feel, and be, the best version of themselves. Amanda is currently enrolled in school at a local college obtaining a Business Degree. She is the Directions Outpatient Center case manager and operates in the capacity of housing director, Recovery Coach and Interventionist.
Theresa has been working in the field of addiction for the past ten years. She has a passionate and realistic approach toward others in recovery. Theresa graduated with a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Midway University. She focuses on a 12 step and spiritual approach with clients due to first-hand experience with the disease concept of addiction. Her various experiences include sober home management, case management, intake coordinator, assessments, and primary therapy. Theresa utilizes solution-focused therapy techniques in addition to empowering clients to change their lives. She believes in an “open door policy” for her clients and is challenged by the uniqueness of every client’s current situation.
